Monday updates 3

I hope your Easter holidays or whatever you celebrate spring with were filled with love and family and that it was eggciting and sunny.
We had a very eggciting day. Everything was just ducky until about 4 pm when the house felt like it was on the ocean and we were going to sail away.
After I get over the "WTF?" feeling that first comes with a major earthquake, I start to smile. I know it is sick but I love the energy pulse that I get from them. As long as I am here where I live, I feel pretty safe.
First thing that runs through my mind is please protect every one involved. Then I just sit back and feel it. When they are happening there is nothing you can do to stop them so I just might as well go with what is happening. Haven't felt a quake like this since the Northridge Quake.
We have been shaking ever since too. We can feel some, but most of them we can not. Since yesterday we have had over 400 earthquakes. Here is a great place to check it out!  scroll down and click on the southern California area of the US map.
Happy Monday and may you all be on solid ground. ;-D

Mrs. B is having a giveaway-

Well done Jan!

  1. Oh GEEZ!!!! Thank heavens you're safe!
We have had a few here in Indiana too; in the time since I returned from CA. I think I have gone through four. Living in a state where you do not EXPECT them, the first is quite a shocker! I remember grabbing antique bottles off the top of a hutch, until my father yelled for me to get in the doorway. I had no thought of that thing falling on me!
The last I recall was in the middle of the night, not too many years ago---I woke to hear glass shaking everywhere and feeling as though I was riding a matress thru a fun house.....ICK!
Take care--stay safe, and I am glad you have a good attitude about those things!

    Anne.....shaken AND stirred!

  2. OMG Marie, I would have been so scared! I've been in a few earthquakes and can say that I hope that I don't have to experience any more! That's it, you're coming to live with me, pack your things Sweetie! I'm so happy that you and your family are safe! Wow, my heart stopped when you said earthquake!
I hope that you have a wonderful rest of your more earthquakes aloud!
    Hugs and much love...

  3. Ride' em Cowgirl! Not my cup of tea at all. We had our first here in VA a while back and it really was interesting. Ours felt like someone had just cut down a HUGE tree and let it fall outside our bedroom window. Whew. Glad you are lovin' it, though. Susan

  4. we didn't have the rock and roll, at least that we could feel, but our pool was sloshing water out all over the place. I am so with you on the energy of Mother Nature. I was beyond happy that she gifted me with it on my birthday

  5. Geez glad to hear you all are ok!!! Glad you have such a wonderful outlook on it...think I would be under a bed! Please stay safe...big hugs Beth

  6. Marie, I'm so glad you're safe! Happy Easter, and have a wonderful week!

  7. Oh, Marie! I remember the Northridge earthquake well, and I remember thinking,"Is this the Big One?" It is a weird out-of-body experience, but it does leave you energized! LOL! I'm glad you are okay. :) xox Pam

  8. Oh wow - I'm so happy to hear that everyone is safe. That must have been a very frightening experience. But the most important thing is that everyone is safe and sound. Big hugs!!! Theresa

  9. Glad to hear you are safe. We don't experience much quake activity here in NY, but I do remember as a kid on episode that lasted about 5 seconds & scared me to death!

  10. Wow, you really felt that quake!?! We were on our way back from Utah, so missed it, but years ago with one in California, our pool did slosh and that was weird! Ever so glad you and yours are safe and sound. **blows kisses** Deb

  11. I am so happy you are safe. I am use to quakes too. Well not really use to them. The can be frightening. Do what ever to stay safe.

  12. Hi Marie...If you would be so kind to stop over at my blog I nominated you for a award. Hope your rest of your evening is a beautiful one!
    Hugs and much love...
