How ya all doing? Are you having a good week so far?

I worked all weekend so I missed Monday's post. When I woke up at the key board at midnight, I figured I should go to bed. I am so sorry, sometimes you just have to give in or give up. I tried, I gave up.
It is raining here again, a really wet year for us. It is supposed to rain tomorrow too. I like it. It makes the weeds grow faster though.
The birds are singing in the morning early, it is so good to wake up to the chirpy little voices.
I think spring is sneaking in.
The white egret that has been coming to our place for at least 15 years has come back, he (or she) spends a lot of time here. He used to have a mate until the coyotes got her, so now he comes alone. A couple of times in different years he has brought another couple here, I haven't seen them yet!
I was looking for a picture of him but I can not find it.
I found this picture though.
You could call this pond scum, but look how beautiful this is!
Click on the picture for a bigger version too.

Look at that color, I love that green!

Madi and I just hung out and stayed warm, watched some cartoons, took a nap and nourished our souls today. I feel guilty, like I should do something, edgy almost, have you been feeling this way too?
Madi likes days like this, she uses gramma for a sofa and sits on me, lies on me, lays against me, puts her feet on me, and her head.
You've heard of people being close talkers, Madi is a close sitter. It is cute though.
I hope you all have a magical week, one that is filled with wonderful surprises and good health.
I just wanted to let you know that my friend is doing very well in the hospital. She should be coming home soon. I am thrilled.
Have a Fat Tuesday!!

  1. I love that green too and call it 'spring green' because it the very first green that shows like newborn green. Also don't feel like you should be doing something - don't you do enough? Sometimes in doing nothing we can do so much, like rest and refill. I am so glad your friend is doing better!!!

  2. Hi Marie ;o) Great to hear from you! I love the picture! It's so amazing! We are suppose to get rain here, wednesday, through friday. The only thing is, we still have alot of snow and the ground is still frozen, so hopefully we get no water in the basement! Relax, enjoy Madi and say hi to the white egret for me! Beautiful bird! Take Care ;o)

  3. Marie, sorry, I forgot to say in my last post, that I am so happy your friend is doing well ;o) Yeh ;o) Hugs!

  4. I have been a complete slug other than tending to blog things and then running errands. I need to save energy to fix a good Mardi Gras dinner tonight; have the wine picked OF COURSE!!! LOL!!
Looking forward to an afternoon just taking it easy....a few tidbits to do, that's all.
    And no guilt!

  5. Oh the many shades of green, and the unusual places we find them. Great photo!

  6. We have a couple of herons (I think) who live around our lake, as well as, a handful of swans.
Right now we are having our trials with rain & flooding, but our daughter comes home from college on Friday for a week--that makes it
    Enjoy your sweet Madi!

  7. Ooh, that's a real photo? Of a pond? I thought that was paint! The color is wow!

Aww, Marie. Do not feel guilty for feeding your soul. Falling asleep at the computer is a sign that you are due for a good break. Cartoons with Madi are just the remedy.

I'm so glad to hear about your friend!

  8. Awwww.. Madi is a close sitter cause she likes her grandma very much :-) I love this green! How funny, i'm making a green BunnyHunny at this very moment. LOL! Did you see Jodie allready? She's my newest creation.

  9. Those are just fabulous colors. Love them. Glad you friend is doing better. I spent the weekend with Arwen on my lap too. She did get mad when I stayed an extra half an hour in the studio.

  10. Hi Marie! Glad to hear you've been well and enjoying warm weather and fun times with Madi. :) That is really a wonderful photograph - there is so much depth to it. It is indeed a beautiful shade of green. :) Hope you have a wonderful night! Theresa

  11. Hello Sister Marie. Choose one:

"I remember that time I watched caroons with Madi..."

"I remember that time I read a blog post..."

    Definitely number 1!

The blogs are okay but you and Madi together is better.

    God Bless you and Madi!

  12. Hey Marie, yes I have been feeling this way and so many others I know. Love this photo!!!! I am so glad your friend is getting better. I have been burning healing candles for her.
