Lone Rocks

It seems that a lot of wonderful friendships and lasting relationships are made over these Internet energy connections. I hear this from my bestest blog buddies all of the time.
We appear so surprised that this is happening. How can something like that happen? The only contact we ever have sometimes with these people is talking to them through commenting on blogs, admiring their art work, words, a confession of true life, reaching out to talk to someone that is ill, and a myriad of possibilities over a wire, a signal, or a satellite connection.
I too have experienced this connection.
I have reached out, been accepted, and even witnessed people living and dying on this broadband.
I am amazed everyday by the strength of my feelings and even my own honesty in this medium.
And personally, I think this is wonderful.
One of my good friends had told me once, "I love the Internet and meeting people there first, I get to know them from the inside out instead of from the outside in", this rings true for me everyday!
I am infinitely grateful.
One of my recent connections is Lone from Flowermouse design http://flowermouse.blogspot.com/ . She  is an awesome person and artist.
We traded pieces and I got the best deal ;-]. I had said that I liked her bread mouse with cheese.

Now the pictures she took are wonderful, but in person...
there is no comparison.

The little mouse looks just like a piece or loaf of yummy crusty french bread.
Isn't he the cutest thing you have ever seen? The cheese looks real too.
He is so cute I just want to eat him up!!
Num num num!!!
I keep him near me just so I can smile again and again.

Then I got this beautifully detailed sea urchin necklace. I wish you could hold it and see how real it looks. Howard asked me if it was real. He even held it in his hands, I turned over and showed him how Lone had written me a note in the bottom. He turned it back over to look at it again. I think he thinks I am putting him on!!

This started when I was influenced by Lone's zipper mice. It was the perfect art storm for me.  Everything came together and my "unzipped hearts" came out.

I wanted to do something for her for inspiring me, so I made her one of my zippered pieces and sent it to her.
And the rest is a blog connection history!!
Is this wonderful or what? I can meet people that I would never run in to in my backyard!
I honor the people I have run in to and will run in to. My tribe is huge!
Thank you Lone, I love my new pieces from you, dearly!

The Wish

The wish below was sent to me by a friend who recommended I send it on to 12 other women who are important to me. I thought the wish is so well worded and is something we should all try to live by that I thought I would send it to you.

"May today there be peace within you. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us."

Why stop at twelve!

Love and hugs my pretties.

Hi and I am back...a little at a time.

Sorry to have left you all for so long. I got slammed! Not with anything important, just overwhelm.
I needed some time.
Not long ago I opened an Etsy shop http://www.mariesegal.etsy.com/  I am now finding out how much work people put in to doing a great job of promoting and selling, photographing, listing, reading, making, studying, packaging, treasuries, and all of the things that make a good shop go. All this while trying to take care of someone that does not like you being on the phone, computer, vacuuming, or anything electronic or mechanical while she is awake.
What was I thinking?
It was coming together beautifully, my blog buddy Theresa at "Welcome to my World" http://faeriemooncreations.blogspot.com/  did a wonderful post for me and another artist Emily of "Nothing but String" http://www.etsy.com/shop/Nothingbutstring  on her thursday artist features http://faeriemooncreations.blogspot.com/2010/05/terrifically-talented-thursday-clay-and.html.
We both did a giveaway. My winner was Lisa at Pearl Avenue Studios http://pearlavenuestudios.blogspot.com/
Check her out, she is so talented.

As are all of these women above. So many talented people I am blessed to know from blogging. I feel so lucky. I love this blog world we live in. Very hard to be away from this long, but I knew I needed to step away from this damn computer for a bit!

My part in Theresa's giveaway was to make the winner a custom heart. I told Lisa to tell me her vision for the custom heart. This is what she said
"I am particular to bees, numbers and letters. Vintage worn and torn things that looked washed out, and sepia tones, robins egg blue with sepia washes"
OMG!!! I love these. Thank you so much Lisa for sharing your vision with me. I absolutely adore them. Lisa picked one,  the one with the large bee and I will be listing the other two in my shop soon.
I love when someone shares their vision with me.
Am I the winner here or what?
I almost feel guilty, I said "almost".

So now thanks to Theresa my store is making some progress, I have stuff loaded up there, and I am trying to list stuff every week.

Hi to you all. I hope you have a great week and I will get around to see you soon.
I am clearing out my spaces, playing with my darling electronic hating grand daughter Madi, making stuff, and trying to do all I have to do in life, and still keep smiling.
Thank you all for sticking around, "I'll be back!!"
and...
I feel better now!
