Winter Solstice

Happy Solstice ya'll

Some of my favorite quotes

"If people knew how hard I worked to get my mastery, it wouldn't seem so wonderful at all."

~Michelangelo Buonarroti 1475-1564

"A true measure of your worth includes all the benefits others have gained from your successes"

Cullen Hightower, salesman and writer 1923-2008

"Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art."

Charles "Bird" Parker, Jr. (29 August 1920 – 12 March 1955)

"If you have knowledge, let others light their candles at it."

Margaret Fuller US Transcendentalist author & editor (1810 - 1850)

"The more I give myself permission to live in the moment and enjoy it without feeling guilty or judgmental about any other time, the better I feel about the quality of my work."

Wayne Dyer

"Every artist hits that wall that blocks...our choices are always to either chip away at it, wait for it to disolve or simply climb over...I like the climb....allows me to see a great distance when at the top and to learn more."

Jodi Creager

"What is to give light must endure burning."

VIKTOR FRANKL- psycologist 1905-1997

"As we are liberated from our own fear,Our presence automatically liberates others."

-Marianne Williamson

"Forget not that the earth likes to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. "

Kahlil Gibran 1883-1931

"To me art has always been pure freedom of expression, not command performance."

Ces and her dishes

"Everything is an illusion after all. It is vapor and dust and smoke and mirrors. However, the love one feels is always true."

Renee from circling her head

"Sometimes the things you can't change, change you"

Brendan Fraser in "The Air I Breathe" 2008

“Those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter.”

- Bernard Baruch, August 19, 1870 – June 20, 1965 in response to disputed seating arrangements. (This quotation is often misattributed to Dr. Seuss.)

Dr. Seuss March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991 version

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
